CLASS TYPES
BASE Strength
Focused on building foundational strength, movement quality, and durability. Sessions prioritize controlled lifts, sound mechanics, and progressive loading to create a strong base that supports long term performance and higher intensity training.
HYBRID Strength
A blend of strength training with conditioning to build power, durability, and work capacity. Sessions combine compound lifts and functional movements with conditioning to prepare athletes for real world performance.
Run club
Interval based track workouts focused on building speed, endurance, and confidence. Sessions vary week to week with scalable intervals that emphasize pacing, efficiency, and repeatable effort rather than racing every rep.

TRAINING METHODOLOGY
An 8 week phased approach designed to build durable, high performing athletes
PHASED TRAINING - 6 weeks
The phases target a specific training focus such as hypertrophy, eccentric strength, or power. This structured progression builds capacity while reducing burnout and plateaus.
DELOAD - 2 weeks
The two week deload period is a planned reduction in volume and intensity that supports recovery, reduces injury risk, and prepares athletes for the next phase.

About the studio
Centrally located in downtown Oakland, our studio lives in the historic Delger Building in Old Oakland. Fitnesse HQ is our first brick and mortar location, designed as a welcoming space for the community.

We believe in the benefits of training like an athlete, so we created our programming to revolve around functional movements and building strength for athletic (everyday life) performance. Our classes are structured as dynamic circuits, combining exercises that mimic real-life movements to enhance overall fitness, agility, and coordination. With a focus on strength and conditioning, athletes will experience an effective and well-rounded workout that targets multiple muscle groups, elevating their functional abilities and unlocking their full athletic potential.

An FTC class involves athletes selecting their starting point, either the Floor or Rack. You will spend 50% of the workout in each area during the class. Halfway through, there will be a switch, allowing those who started on the Floor to move to the Rack and vice versa. This format ensures a balanced, effective training session every time you workout at FTC.

We designed FTC classes to accommodate athletes of all levels, including beginners or those who haven't worked out in a while. Our experienced coaches can make exercise modifications based on each individual's fitness level, ensuring everyone can participate, push themselves at their own pace, and progress gradually.

Depending on your focus, we recommended attending FTC classes at least 3 times a week for optimal results. The weekly schedule includes 2 types of classes Base Strength and Hybrid Strength. By taking multiple classes a week, you'll be able to hit different muscle groups while giving your body ample time for recovery.

If it's your first class, arrive 15 minutes early to familiarize yourself with the studio and receive any necessary instructions. For subsequent classes, please arrive 5 minutes early. Being on time is essential to maintain the flow of the class. Late arrivals beyond 5 minutes will be unable to join the session and will be marked absent.
