Athlete Commitment

  • Maintain 80% or higher attendance across cohort workouts

  • Run 2-3 days per week as programmed

  • Attend weekly Saturday workouts at FTC 6:00am or King Track 7:30am

  • Communicate proactively regarding injuries, availability, and schedule conflicts

  • Train with intention and respect prescribed effort levels

  • Prioritize rest, recovery, sleep, and fueling

  • Begin the program healthy and communicate any injuries immediately

  • Show up on time, prepared, and with a positive attitude

  • Respect coaches, partners, and the FTC community

  • Take ownership of your training and preparation

FAQs

  • Hyrox is a global fitness competition combining running and functional fitness challenges, designed for athletes of all levels.

  • The event will be held in Barcelona on May 14th at Av. Joan Carles I, 64, 08908 Barcelona

  • February 21st

  • We suggest arriving on May 11th, but May 12th can work if you arrive in the morning. Jet lag can make or break your race, so it’s better to arrive sooner to get adjusted.

  • 5/6 days of training per week.

    • 3-4 days training in FTC classes

    • 2/3 days running - One solo running session and two group sessions per week.


    Example schedule:

    Monday - Solo long Run + FTC Class
    Tuesday - FTC Class
    Wednesday - group track workout
    Thursday - FTC Class
    Friday - Rest or FTC Class
    Saturday - group Track/FTC Hyrox workout
    Sunday - Rest / Recovery

  • YES! An Apple Watch or Garmin makes running workouts easy to complete and for us to track your progress.

    *Apple Watch needs to be a Series 5 or later

  • Yes, you do have to be a member at FTC to join the Hyrox cohort.

    If you are not a member, you can create an FTC account and purchase your membership.

  • Yes, there will be opportunities to push and pull the sled in the studio.

  • Yes, we will have a week by week training schedule that you will be able to view with all dates and group training times.

    *Schedule can change based on weather and availability

  • We train at King track in Berkeley for all morning sessions. If you can’t make the morning run sessions, our afternoon crew trains at Wittier Field (Piedmont High) when the field is available.

  • Yes, there will be two full run-through during the 12-week program.

  • Yes, we can match you with a partner or you can do solos.

  • Don’t worry, running can be done solo, and we will have multiple Hyrox days for you to get accustomed to movements.

    We can also provide you with a Hyrox workout you can do on your own.

  • Fees are non-refundable as they go toward program expenses and race preparations

  • We will add you to a private group me to communicate with the cohort and coaches.

  • YES! YES! YES! Please start that process now, as you will not be refunded if you cannot travel.

  • While recovery is the responsibility of each athlete, we will provide support proper recovery throughout the program to help athletes stay healthy and perform at a high level.
